Hi! I’m Meghan.

I’ve always been a maker and learner. Through all of the twists and turns in life, creating has always helped me stay calm and connect with the little Meghan inside me.  Whether it is playing instruments, baking cookies, crocheting afghans, knitting sweaters and socks, spinning yarn, or growing a field of flowers, it’s all in an effort to bring joy and whimsy to myself and those around me.

I’ve also always loved mugs. For many years I’ve watched for handmade mugs to adopt in resale shops, on vacations, and at markets; knowing they were made by hand with love and are ready for a new home. Every mug was unique, filled with memories, and felt different in my hands. I still love picking who I’ll have my coffee with every morning, and look forward to seeing familiar old friends as I rotate through the cabinet.

Enter pottery classes.

In a period of life where things are changing, I find myself wanting to create in new ways. I heard about a local pottery studio that teaches throwing on the wheel, so I signed up and immediately fell in love during my first class. The feel of the clay, the joy of seeing a cup take form, the surprise of what the glaze looks like when it’s done; all speak to that little Meghan who still remembers playing with clay in grade school. I love the process, the calm it brings, and the connections I’ve made because of pottery.

Now I’m the one creating handmade pottery, each piece unique, made with love, and full of joy and whimsy for others to adopt and share their coffee with.
